Stockport-based digital commerce startup Symphony Commerce, formerly known as Shopblocks, has raised €2.4 million to expand in the global B2B market.

The funding came from NPIF II – Mercia Equity Finance (managed by Mercia Ventures), Mercia’s EIS funds, the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), and private investors.

With this investment, the company is rebranding as Symphony Commerce and introducing new features to strengthen its focus on the B2B enterprise market.

With this funding round, Symphony Commerce has now raised a total of €7.2 million. The investment will help the company grow in the global B2B market and improve its platform with new features and integrations.
Symphony’s platform helps wholesalers, distributors, and manufacturers build customized e-commerce sites, customer portals, and product catalogs.
It is designed to handle complex B2B needs, such as flexible pricing, tailored discounts, and personalized experiences. The platform also integrates with top ERP, finance, and marketing software to streamline business operations. Mercia Ventures and the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund first backed the company in 2023.
The Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II aims to boost economic growth by supporting innovation and creating opportunities for businesses in the North of England.
It provides early-stage funding to small businesses that may struggle to secure investment, helping to increase financial support and remove barriers to growth.
