The funding round was led by Catalyst Romania, with participation from existing investors MT-Lab, RDY Ventures, Moondust Ventures, and Gateway Ventures. This investment also marks the 13th portfolio company backed by Catalyst Romania Fund II.

Founded in 2020 by Brodesser and Michel Varilek, SOMAREALITY is a DeepTech startup that uses eye-tracking technology to better understand how the human brain works. Its technology can measure cognitive factors such as attention, focus, mental workload, fatigue, and overall performance.

The company's platform analyzes eye movements and provides real-time insights into a person's cognitive state. This helps organizations understand how people think, react, and perform in different situations.
