Slovenia’s DDD Invoices Raises €1.31M To Simplify Global E-Invoicing Compliance

The company plans to use the funding to expand its country coverage, simplify integrations and deployment, and scale its team across product, engineering, and go-to-market functions.

Founded in 2023, DDD Invoices offers a unified API that connects business and financial SaaS platforms to tax authorities and compliance networks worldwide, ensuring invoices automatically meet local CTC (Continuous Transaction Control), e-invoicing, and fiscalisation requirements.

The startup notes that invoicing, once a simple exchange between businesses now often requires real-time validation through government tax portals or networks such as Peppol before an invoice is legally accepted and delivered.

Because each country enforces its own formats, validation rules and submission processes, companies operating across multiple markets face a fragmented and expensive integration burden.

DDD Invoices aims to abstract this complexity through a single API for issuing, receiving, and archiving tax-compliant e-invoices, positioning itself as an end-to-end infrastructure layer for scaling across jurisdictions.

In practice businesses send standardized invoice data to the platform which converts it into local formats, validates it against current regulatory rules routes it to the relevant tax system and returns status updates to the originating application.

For SaaS platforms such as Stripe, Bitrix, Shopify, and Chargebee, DDD Invoices provides native integrations, while also using AI-based document processing to structure data from unstructured inputs such as PDFs.
