Drawing on expertise in medical informatics, pharmacology, and clinical research, Sefit provides tailored VR exposure therapy designed to improve everyday functioning in social, educational, and work settings.
Sensory overload affects over 120 million people across the DACH region, the U.S., and Canada, often making daily situations overwhelming and leading to social withdrawal or difficulty with work and learning.
While experts recommend gradual exposure to help manage these challenges, doing so safely in real life can be difficult.
Sefit’s VR tool adapts to each user’s pace, gradually increasing exposure to build coping skills and reduce stress without relying on medication.
Currently offered as a wellness device, Sefit plans to pursue medical certification after a clinical study scheduled for late 2025.
The funding will help improve the software based on feedback from therapists and clinical experts and support preparations for the next stage of clinical trials.
Elena Börlin, founder of Sefit health, highlighted: Venture Kick hasn’t just financed and challenged us, it motivates, educates, and offers new valuable connections thanks to multiple mentoring workshops.
