reebuild Raises €3 Mn in Seed Funding to Automate Construction Back-Office Tasks

The funding round was led by Fortino Ventures, a venture capital firm based in Ghent, Belgium. The firm invests in B2B AI and software companies across Europe.

Other investors included Rise PropTech and CuriosityVC. Existing investor Hansmann Family Office also participated in the round.

The software many construction companies and developers still work with today has barely evolved in decades and has fallen behind rising expectations. We’re convinced that we can shake up this market with a team that combines deep construction and technology know-how. Not with another tool, but with a solution that truly understands how construction sites and projects are handled on the commercial side,” said Alexander Kornell, CEO and founder of reebuild.

“We believe now is the time for construction companies to digitise and automate their back-office processes with SaaS and AI. reebuild is the right team to execute on this, with the founding team having their family roots in the construction sector,” said Wouter Goossens, Partner at Fortino Ventures.

Founded in 2022, reebuild was established by Alexander Kornell, its CEO, and Matteo Cimadom, its CRO. Luca Papay later joined the company as a co-founder and serves as its CTO.

reebuild has developed an AI platform designed for construction and real estate businesses. It reads documents such as PDFs, photos, scanned files, and electronic invoices, and turns the information into organised digital data.

The platform automatically checks and matches delivery notes, invoices, and order confirmations. It also helps businesses manage costs, track materials, and reduce the time spent on administrative tasks. Over time, the software learns from the decisions made by commercial managers, helping automate more repetitive work.

The platform also supports workers on construction sites. For example, a site foreman can take a photo of a delivery note using the mobile app, and the document is immediately added to the system.
