QDNL Participations funding news – Amsterdam-based QDNL Participations Secures €25Million in Funding

The fund's investors include family offices, wealthy individuals, funds-of-funds, and endowments, with ongoing support from the Quantum Delta NL Foundation. The new fund will help the firm invest in quantum startups around the world.

Ton van ‘t Noordende, General Partner at QDNL Participations said, “Our aim is to invest in, and help shape, category-defining quantum technology companies,”.

It has noticed that the lack of specialist investors is slowing the development of quantum technologies, which is why they invest globally.

To strengthen their team, it has added new experts. Last year, they brought in Chad Rigetti, a quantum computing expert from Silicon Valley, as a venture partner.

Recently, Kris Kaczmarek joined as an investment director after working at 2xN in London. They also added two special advisors: Nadia Carlsten, CEO of the Danish Centre for AI Innovation, and Charles Marcus from the University of Washington.

van ‘t Noordende said, “We at QDNLP believe now is the optimal window for early-stage quantum investments, with maturing technology and markets combining with significant non-dilutive capital tailwinds to create ideal conditions for new and early stage ventures,".

QDNL Participations was founded in 2023 by Ton van ’t Noordende to boost the Dutch quantum technology sector with a €15M fund. The fund has invested in nine promising quantum startups in the Netherlands, such as Qblox, QuantWare, QphoX, and Q*Bird.
