PeelPioneers funding news – Dutch-based PeelPioneers Raises €4Million in Growth Funding

PeelPioneers, a foodtech company specialised in processing orange peels into new raw materials, raises €4million in growth funding. The National Green Fund, the European Circular Bioeconomy Fund (ECBF), and the Brabant Development Agency (BOM) provided the funding.
Furthermore involved were the Dutch development bank FMO, DOEN Participaties, and Invest International, a public-private organization under the Ministry of Finance.

The money will be used by the business to expand its Den Bosch manufacturing. According to Business Insiders Netherlands, the Dutch company also intends to establish a second factory, two to three times larger than Den Bosch, in the Murcia region of Spain.
To raise an additional €4 million, the company has begun using the Invesdor platform for crowdsourcing in order to accomplish this goal. As of the publication of this article, the business had amassed €1.35 million.
