SUMMARY

  • Just 18 months after launching, Keenest, a French investment club focused on climate action, has crossed a major milestone—investing over €5 million in impact-driven startups that support the shift toward a carbon-free economy.

Jérémie Sicsic, CEO of Keenest said (translated): “Individual savings are a considerable lever for financing the sustainable economy. By investing directly in impact projects, every citizen becomes a driving force for transition, while participating in the creation of a greener, more resilient and more sovereign economy.”

Keenest is a French platform launched in 2023 by Jérémie Sicsic and Renan Labrunie, with support from Mehdi Coly, CEO of Team for the Planet. It helps fund climate tech startups and now has 3,500 members, up from an initial 300. The community mainly consists of individuals looking to make meaningful use of their savings.

Co-founder Jérémie Sicsic is a seasoned entrepreneur. At 36, the EM Lyon graduate has launched several startups, including Unow (online training) and Briq (employee engagement), which was acquired by Swile, now a French unicorn.

With investments starting at just €500, Keenest has backed climate-focused startups such as Feedback, Sapiologie, OpenClimat, Arkeon Energy, and others.

A unique feature of the platform is its climate dividends—returns based on the amount of CO₂ avoided. The higher the impact, the better the return, creating a win-win model for planet and profit.

Keenest targets a 20% annual return while aiming to raise €10 million by March 2026, finance 20 impact projects, and launch a diversified climate fund. By the end of 2025, it also plans to introduce a non-financial dashboard to track impact more transparently. Keenest is a mission-driven company, legally committed to funding a carbon-free future.
