SUMMARY
- Paris-based Ewake, an AI startup focused on improving software reliability, has raised €2 million in a pre-seed round led by Connect Ventures, with participation from 2100 Ventures, Notion Capital, Insiders, 50partners, and angel investors including Amirhossein Malekzadeh.
Ewake builds an AI “teammate” for software reliability that integrates with production systems and assists engineering teams. Its platform proactively identifies issues, recommends actions, and helps developers maintain service reliability autonomously.
The product features a suite of AI agents that monitor production, investigate incidents, and prevent downtime in real time. Operating atop existing tools, the agents correlate signals and continuously learn to adapt to each company’s technical and business context, gradually automating repetitive tasks.

Founded by former Criteo engineers Pooné Mokari (CEO) and Omid Gosha (CTO), Ewake addresses the challenge of maintaining reliability while accelerating software delivery.
Coming out of stealth, Ewake will use the funding to expand its AI agent suite and grow its Paris-based team to support a growing customer base. The company plans to further develop its agentic AI, enabling developers to own and maintain their code more effectively, automate manual tasks, and deliver software rapidly without compromising reliability.
Pooné Mokari, CEO and co-founder of Ewake, said, “Software downtime costs the technology industry $400bn every year in revenue and productivity loss, as well as reputational damage. A wave of engineering tools has been launched to tackle this growing phenomenon, but these are invariably delivered as data platforms. This creates ‘data fatigue’, as engineers are required to manually wade through data from multiple platforms, respond when systems fail, and all without a concrete explanation of the root cause and real impact of that failure.
Another issue with the existing tools is that they are not delivered to developers, but instead to site reliability engineers (SREs). This leads to developers who are not incentivised to ensure reliability.”
Pietro Bezza, Managing Partner of Connect Ventures, said, “Ewake is flipping software reliability on its head. Engineers waste too much time on tedious maintenance slow, expensive, and buried in data. But the real value these days isn’t in collecting data; it’s in analysing, triaging, and actually fixing issues, fast.”
