SUMMARY

  • Paris-based digital insurer Orus has raised €25 million in a Series B round to support its international expansion and launch a new broker platform aimed at modernising how insurance is distributed to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

Orus offers a fast and user-friendly alternative to the traditionally complex world of business insurance. In just 18 months since its Series A, the company has grown its revenue 10x and now protects over 30,000 businesses across Europe.

Côme Dartiguenave, CEO of Orus, said: The SMB insurance sector is still dominated by legacy players offering opaque products, slow onboarding, poor customer service, and cumbersome claims processing. Orus leverages technology to provide simple, and transparent insurance solutions tailored precisely to the needs of small businesses.

Orus uses its own algorithms and over 300 data points—from financial health to climate risk and behaviour patterns—to instantly assess risk and provide personalised coverage. This helps them underwrite complex insurance products like decennial liability and business owner protection with greater accuracy.

The platform also offers tailored coverage based on each industry’s specific risks. Signing up takes less than 5 minutes, compared to the usual two weeks with traditional insurers. Claims are processed just as quickly—often within days, not months.

Orus also takes a hands-on approach to claims and risk management, using advanced tools to monitor fraud, spot trends early, and respond proactively.

Dartiguenave added: Our new platform combines the speed and intelligence of our technology with brokersʼ trusted expertise, allowing them to serve clients faster and with a seamless digital experience.

Spain marks the first step in Orus’s European expansion plan. Early traction there has already outpaced the company’s initial growth in France, showing strong product-market fit beyond its home base. Riding this momentum, Orus aims to expand into more European markets starting in 2026.

In addition to its direct-to-business approach, Orus is launching a new broker platform. This tool allows intermediaries to easily quote, tailor, and manage Orus’s digital insurance products, making the sales process faster and more efficient.

The €25M Series B round was led by Singular, with continued support from Notion Capital and Redstone.

Henri Tilloy, Partner at Singular, commented: Orus is not just building a great product, they are defining a new category in commercial insurance. It is the first digital platform we have seen that truly serves the full breadth of the SME landscape, from independent professionals to construction crews to retail shops or chains, with a solution that is both comprehensive and intuitive, with a quote ready in 3 minutes online.

Orus is already adding thousands of new customers every month, growing faster than anything seen in the space—and it’s just the beginning. Backed by a world-class team that truly understands both the complexity and the scale of the opportunity, Orus is set on reshaping the insurance industry.

With the Series B funding, the company is staying focused on its mission: making business insurance simple, smart, and scalable.
