Oura Funding News - Finland-based Oura Secures $200 Million in Series D Funding

ŌURA, the popular Oura Ring smart ring maker, has completed a $200 million Series D funding round. Fidelity Management & Research Company and glucose biosensing leader Dexcom participated in the round, bringing the company's valuation to $5.2 billion.

The company will use the funds to expand its products, invest in science, healthcare innovation, and AI, grow globally, and explore acquisitions to boost growth.

This news comes about a month after it raised €71M in a Series D round.

ŌURA has also partnered with Dexcom to help people improve metabolic health by combining Dexcom glucose data with the Oura Ring's insights on sleep, stress, heart health, and activity.

Tom Hale, chief executive officer at Oura, said, “As we continue to drive momentum and growth, we are bolstered by the additional support of these investors. We’ve made significant progress in advancing our mission to make health a daily practice and will use this funding to unlock new opportunities, with AI development at the center of our strategy. We know that Oura has the potential to change lives at scale, and we’re excited to continue leading the market in innovation while pursuing opportunities that extend beyond the ring.”

The funding follows ŌURA surpassing 2.5 million rings sold, with its member base and revenue more than doubling in the past year.This year, the company expanded its global retail presence through partnerships with Amazon and Target and grew its commercial business by strengthening military collaborations with the Naval Health Research Center, the Air Force, and the Defense Innovation Unit.
