NcodiN Raises €16M In Seed Funding Led by MIG Capital

The round also saw participation from Maverick Silicon, PhotonVentures, and Verve Ventures, alongside continued backing from existing investors Elaia, Earlybird, and OVNI.

Founded in 2023 by Francesco Manegatti (CEO), Bruno Garbin (CTO), and Fabrice Raineri (CSO), NcodiN is developing NConnect, a next-generation photonic interposer with integrated nanolasers. NConnect overcomes the speed and energy limits of conventional semiconductors, using ultra-small lasers for high-density integration on silicon and scalable performance without major processor redesigns.

NcodiN has demonstrated proof-of-concept nanolasers with energy efficiency below 0.1 pJ/bit, integrated nanodetectors, and complete optical links on silicon. The company has also built an independent cleanroom that supports rapid prototyping and collaborative development with industry partners.

With the new funding, NcodiN will grow its team and accelerate the industrialization of its laser-on-silicon technology. The company will also reinforce its supply chain and start product qualification with strategic partners, paving the way for large-scale manufacturing. Additionally, NcodiN plans to expand R&D and establish a presence in Silicon Valley.
