Münster, Germany-based Clockin, a company focused on bringing digitalization and AI to deskless workforces, has raised €10M in growth capital.

The round was led by Newion (Amsterdam) and NRW.Venture (Düsseldorf), with participation from existing investors Scalehouse Capital (Osnabrück) and D11Z Ventures (Heilbronn).

Newion, a leading European early-stage investor in business software, supports founders from early traction through product-market fit to international growth.

“The deskless workforce is a gigantic, previously neglected market. clockin has the potential to become the leading platform in Europe,” says Mathijs de Wit, Managing Partner at Newion.

NRW.Venture is the venture capital arm of NRW.BANK, North Rhine-Westphalia’s development bank addressing the financing gap for young, innovative, and tech-focused companies that struggle to secure traditional loans.

The fund invests in startups typically from the second financing round providing up to €15M in equity across multiple rounds alongside private investors.

The German company plans to use the funding to accelerate the expansion of its software and AI solutions for mobile teams in European SMEs.

Nearly 80% of employees outside traditional offices particularly in SMEs such as skilled trades and healthcare still depend on manual processes and paperwork.

The German company seeks to simplify work by minimizing administrative tasks and reducing reliance on paper-based processes.

“We need to bring all employees into the AI ​​age especially in small businesses. This opens up enormous potential for millions of companies,” says clockin CEO & Co-Founder Frederik Neuhaus, describing the idea behind clockin.

Clockin was founded in 2018 by Frederik Neuhaus (CEO), Jonas Tünte (CMO), Daniel-Dominic Schlief (CPO), Fabian Ebbert (CSO), Benedikt Dreier (COO), and Florian Nolte (CTO), inspired by feedback from medium-sized companies looking for a digital solution to streamline their time-consuming paperwork.

clockin was founded to give small and medium-sized businesses easy access to digital solutions.

The platform streamlines HR processes time tracking, scheduling, absence management alongside project planning and documentation, letting companies focus on customers, projects, and employee growth. Its motto: practical, straightforward, and easy to use.

Over 6,000 European companies rely on clockin, which has been supported by programs like German Accelerator and Scale-up.NRW, and recognized with awards including the NRW Innovation Award.

“We want nothing less than to free companies and people from paperwork. This way, mobile employees will be seamlessly integrated into company processes for the first time and can operate much more efficiently thanks to AI,” says Neuhaus.
