Mindgard Raises €26 Mn Series A to Expand AI Security Platform

The company will use the new funding to expand its product, engineering, sales, and marketing teams. The investment comes as demand for Mindgard’s AI security solutions continues to grow.

The funding round was led by Album VC. Existing investors .406 Ventures, Atlantic Bridge, IQ Capital, and Lakestar also participated, along with Karma Ventures.

This investment will expand our global reach and help make attacker-driven AI security a core part of how organisations implement and manage AI,” said James Brear, CEO of Mindgard.

Founded in 2022 by Dr. Peter Garraghan, Mindgard helps organizations find, test, and protect their AI systems from security threats.

The company is supported by the AI security lab at Lancaster University, which is one of the largest research labs focused on AI security.

Mindgard says it has developed a platform that can identify and test new types of attacks targeting AI models, AI agents, and AI applications.

Its platform brings together tools for Shadow AI discovery, AI red teaming, and real-time AI protection. These tools help businesses identify security risks and take steps to protect their AI systems.
