Max Warburton Experience
Max has over 25 years of experience in investment banking, equity research, and corporate strategy, and will work closely with Wayve’s leadership team to drive growth and expand the company globally.
Max has a deep knowledge of the automotive industry, having worked as a financial analyst at Goldman Sachs, UBS, and Bernstein, covering the auto sector in Europe, the US, and Asia.
He was ranked as the top automotive analyst globally for 14 years and was inducted into the Institutional Investor “Hall of Fame.” Max has also held senior roles at UBS, Bernstein, and Alliance Bernstein, where he became Managing Partner in 2014.

From 2020 to 2023, Max was an Advisor to the Board and Head of Special Projects at Daimler and Mercedes-Benz, where he helped guide the company's corporate strategy and reported directly to the CEO.
He has also served on the Board of YASA Motors, a startup developing advanced electric motors, and advised Rimac Group, a company specializing in automotive and energy storage. Additionally, Max works as a Senior Adviser to Kimmeridge Energy, a US-based private equity firm.
After advising Wayve on its automotive strategy for the past year, Max now joins as CFO. In this role, he will focus on driving growth, building relationships with OEMs and partners, improving financial management, and overseeing investor relations.
