Lithium Lasers, a firm developing ultrashort pulse laser technology, located in Rovereto, has secures €2 million from 360 Capital and Primo Space Fund.

With the additional funding, Lithium Lasers will begin developing a new range of UV lasers that will be introduced within the next few years, as well as expediting the manufacturing and commercialization processes. With 360 Capital's co-investment, Primo Space Fund invested €1.5 million, demonstrating its commitment to innovation in the Deep Tech sector.

Lithium Lasers, a 2019 startup, has created a USPL called FemtoFlash for use in non-linear optics, biophotonics, and material processing applications across a range of industries (including consumer electronics, healthcare, automotive, and aerospace). This USPL is especially helpful when tighter tolerances and dimensional accuracy are required. FemtoFlash's simplicity of integration makes it simpler to install, which saves clients' setup expenses.

Lasers are particularly useful in the aerospace sector for marking Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) components, which are a common composite material used in aerospace applications. Lasers are incredibly effective in the micro-component production process.

Up to 2028, the Ultrashort Laser Pulse market is projected to expand at a CAGR of 14.1% and reach a valuation of €3,9 billion. Microelectronic production, which is fueled by the rising demand for consumer electronics, is primarily responsible for this steady increase.

Alessandro Greborio, CEO and co-founder of Lithium Lasers, commented: “With the financial and strategic support from Primo Space and 360 Capital Partners, we are set to accelerate the industrialization of our product and consolidate our position as a leading provider of laser solutions for high-precision manufacturing of components used in various industries. The capital infusion will drive the rapid industrialization of Femtoflash, along with the development of a UV laser version to broaden our capabilities across a wider range of materials. Simultaneously, we will establish a highly-performing laser processing platform to tackle complex manufacturing challenges. Our sincere thanks go to our legal counsel, Fabio Azzolina, and the BizPlace team for their invaluable assistance throughout the fundraising process.”

Alessandro Zaccaria, Partner at 360 Capital, added: “360’s deepened involvement in Lithium Lasers underscores the remarkable strides made in precision manufacturing technology by the company. With each technical leap forward, we af irm our dedication to driving industrial progress and investing in transformative solutions for the future.”
