London-Based Startup Lua Secures €4.9M To Expand Its Human-Agent Collaboration Platform

The round was led by Norrsken22, with participation from Flourish Ventures, 20VC, P1 Ventures, Phosphor Capital, Y Combinator, and several angel investors.

Founded in 2024, Lua is building an operating system for human and agent collaboration, enabling teams of any technical level to create, manage, and scale their own agent workforce.

The company is also expanding its Lua Implementation Network, a community of partners deploying agent solutions in different markets.

Lua was founded by Lorcan O’Cathain and Stefan Kruger who previously worked together scaling a fintech business in East Africa. Lorcan later led Africa operations at Zephyr Management, while Stefan served as VP of Engineering at Paystack before its acquisition by Stripe.

The platform offers a full-stack solution with one click deployment accessible through both command-line and natural language interfaces. It manages infrastructure data integrations and monitoring allowing businesses to focus on their core logic.

Both technical and non-technical teams can build and manage agents on the same platform, enabling companies to deploy a functional agent workforce within hours.
