SUMMARY

  • UK-based AI startup Saturn, which is revolutionising financial advice by reducing service costs and expanding access to wealth management, has raised €12.9 million in Series A funding.

The round was led by Singular, with participation from Shapers, Y Combinator, and Zeno Ventures, to drive product innovation and scale Saturn’s advisory platform.

“Behind every financial plan is a human story,” said Amal Jolly, Saturn CEO. “Advisers and their teams quietly change lives, giving families confidence and peace of mind. Our job is to empower the humans in the financial advice process. By doing the heavy-admin-lifting making compliance much more reliable and less painful, we can help financial advice professionals offer their life-changing services to more people at a significantly lower cost.”

Saturn’s raise comes amid a surge of funding for AI-powered FinTech startups across Europe.

France’s Finary and Spain’s Flanks are expanding AI-based wealth management tools while the UK’s Zango AI raised €4 million for compliance automation and Czechia’s Resistant AI secured €21 million for financial-crime detection.

In this context, Saturn’s funding underscores investors’ growing interest in technologies that cut service costs and enhance compliance in the wealth and advisory sectors areas gaining strong traction across Europe.

Jolly added: “We started this business to harness technology to help close the advice gap. As we continue to bring the cost to serve advice down, we will help the advice profession to improve the quality, cost, and scale of services in the UK, enabling them to reach more people and changing lives for the better.”

Founded in 2023 by Amal Jolly, Michael Ettlinger, and Rohit Vaish, Saturn aims to make expert financial advice accessible to a billion people. After discovering the depth of the “advice gap,” the founders realised AI could drastically cut costs and democratise access to financial guidance.

Today, fewer than one in ten people in the UK receive financial advice, according to the Financial Conduct Authority, leaving millions without the support needed for financial security. Saturn highlights that high delivery costs around £2,000 per client per year stem from advisers spending excessive time on admin and compliance. Their mission: use AI to free up human expertise and make financial advice affordable for all.

Jeremy Uzan, Co-founder and GP at Singular commented: “We have rarely seen such an ambitious, high-velocity founding team that combines deep technical expertise with real industry insight. They have built an exceptional group around them that moves fast, with focus and attracts top talent and their early traction already reflects their ambition. We are excited to partner with the team to build a category-defining company that transforms wealth management.”

Saturn’s AI platform directly addresses the high cost of financial advice by automating the most time-consuming administrative and compliance tasks. Processes that once required four hours of paraplanner effort now take just 20 minutes covering client suitability reports, onboarding, meeting notes, and pension transfers.

Compliant by design, Saturn adapts to each firm’s internal policies and local regulations, including FCA and Consumer Duty standards. Unlike generic CRMs, its AI is built specifically for UK financial advice and is continuously refined with input from Saturn’s in-house compliance experts and paraplanners.

Already trusted by over 600 advisory firms, including Progeny, Hoxton Wealth, Perspective Financial Group, and Insight Financial Associates, Saturn plans to use this funding to scale its next-generation AI, strengthen compliance technology, and expand its teams across engineering, research, partnerships, and customer success.
