Its in-house team has developed Secure Redact, a powerful AI platform designed to handle real-world data from sources like CCTV, body cameras, and dash cams. The platform offers advanced redaction and privacy tools and is available via SaaS, APIs, and partner platforms.
“As AI matures, trust, control, and accountability become paramount,” said Nick Kingsbury, Partner at Amadeus Capital Partners. “Pimloc has built a platform that’s both technically sophisticated and commercially proven, with strong momentum across sectors and regions. We’re excited to back their global growth as Secure Redact becomes foundational infrastructure for privacy-first video intelligence.”
Video has become the most widely used—and sensitive—form of data, creating challenges for organisations around privacy, compliance, and security.
In 2024, the global surveillance market hit €62.9 billion, and video analytics is expected to grow to €80.6 billion by 2034. At the same time, public demand for transparency is rising, with a record 1.5 million FOIA requests in the U.S. and increasing cybersecurity concerns across Europe.
To meet this growing demand, Pimloc is scaling fast. Its Secure Redact platform—an AI-powered solution for automatically detecting and anonymising sensitive content in videos, audio, images, and screens—has seen over 120% year-on-year growth.
Secure Redact is already being used across sectors like law enforcement, healthcare, education, insurance, transport, and retail. Built fully in-house, the platform has anonymised nearly half a billion pieces of personal data and is available via SaaS, APIs, and private cloud.
Pimloc also partners with platforms like Microsoft, Eagle Eye Networks, and Milestone Systems.
“Edge Investments is very pleased to co-lead Pimloc’s latest investment round as the company enters a pivotal phase of global expansion,” said Hugo Sunnucks, Investment Manager at Edge Investments. “Under Simon Randall’s leadership, Pimloc has built an outstanding platform that enables large-scale, highly accurate video redaction, a capability that is becoming increasingly vital across a wide variety of sectors. Their pace of innovation, combined with a clear and urgent mission, is transforming how organisations handle sensitive visual data in a privacy-first world.”
In one case, an infrastructure company used Secure Redact to process over 1 million images, streamlining how it meets internal privacy standards. In another, users reduced redaction time from 8 hours to just 30 minutes—speeding up compliance in high-volume video workflows.
New features, like smart screen redaction show Pimloc’s ongoing commitment to expanding real-world use cases in line with customer needs.
Looking ahead, Pimloc plans to grow its reach across privacy-sensitive sectors like healthcare, public safety, insurance, education, and transport. The company also aims to enhance platform integrations and explore high-growth areas such as screen redaction, creative content compliance, and fintech data workflows.
