[Funding alert] London-based Log my Care Secures £3Million in Funding
Apr 9, 2024 | By Team SR
Log my Care, a London-based platform that enables care homes and social care to ‘go digital’, secures £3million in funding from existing investor Mercia Ventures. The round comes just after its £3.25 million Series A from the previous year.
The funding enables Log My Care to increase home care functionality and focus on services for caretakers of patients with learning disabilities.
Carers can access medical records, take notes on patients, and get prompts and reminders via the app. At a time when the UK's care industry is under increasing pressure, Log My Care's digitization of current systems promises to reduce the administrative burden on social workers without sacrificing the care protocols that a patient's family needs. Care providers can enhance care quality and oversight by implementing streamlined systems.
The NHS has authorised Log my Care as a provider of digital social care records (DSCRs). The government is pushing for DSCRs, even though many care providers still keep paper records, and its £25 million annual programme was recently extended until March 2026.

Established in 2017 by former engineering students Sam Hussain and Adam Hurst from the University of Oxford, Log my Care currently provides help to over 1,300 carers and around 20,000 patients.
It is especially well-liked by individuals who give independent care and work with learning disabilities. With 35 employees as of right now, the company gained ARR by more than 70% in 2023.
Sam Hussain, CEO, said: “By giving carers more time to spend with patients and access to better information, Log my Care helps improve the quality of care for those who need it most. The funding will enable us to continue scaling our business in the UK and extend the positive impact the system is making, by increasing the number of patients it looks after from 20,000 to over 100,000.”
Henry Hamilton of Mercia Ventures added: “Care providers are recognising the need to move to digital technology, aided by government incentives. Log my Care really resonates with independent care homes as an easy to use product that improves efficiency at an affordable price. The company has been growing rapidly. This latest investment will enable it to further expand its market share and establish itself as the leading platform for care providers in the field of learning disabilities.”
About Log my Care
The platform for excellent care management is called Log my Care. They have seen directly how busy support staff members are and how this affects the standard of care given. If only there were less people in the world, there would be less labour!
The people in your care and their families are the most significant beneficiaries of this influence, along with the industry as a whole and society. And their loved ones are a part of that. And they very well may be included in it eventually.
