Alongside well-known angel investors Praveen Murugesan (former director of engineering at Uber), Nima Khajehnouri (former vice president of engineering at Snap Inc.), Soleio (investor and designer), and Naveen Gavini (former chief product officer at Pinterest) returned to participate, Speedinvest.

The rise confirms a year of rapid expansion for Lapse, which rose to the top of the Apple US and UK app stores in terms of downloads. Thanks to it's innovative design, users can snap and share real, unedited images with friends while avoiding worrying too much about how their content will be perceived.

This strategy has aided in the app's rapid and active user base growth. Millions of individuals use Lapse as their camera these days to record moments and share them with others.

Co-founder Ben Silvertown said, “Lapse doesn’t let you upload or edit in ways that other platforms encourage, Everyone on Lapse plays by the same rules, which creates a space where it’s OK to share all moments, not just the glamorous.”

Co-founders Ben and Dan have made it a priority to update Lapse as it has expanded to better serve the demands of its user base. The team intends to grow the company's engineering and technical teams in addition to prioritising product upgrades based on customer feedback through the fundraising effort.
