Key investors in this round include Belgium’s SFPIM (Federal Holding and Investment Company) and Wallonie Entreprendre.

Belgian energy group Fluxys also joined as an investor, showing its commitment to building a strong hydrogen supply chain—from production to transportation. Fluxys’ hydrogen arm is now Belgium’s official hydrogen transmission operator, playing a major role in the country’s clean energy plans.

Other supporters include SLB and Rely (a joint venture of Technip Energies and John Cockerill), who are backing the company’s industrial hydrogen projects.

This round comes after an earlier €230 million raise in 2024, bringing total funding to €346 million. The money will help expand production, deliver advanced pressurized alkaline electrolyzers, and grow the company’s global operations.

In Europe, John Cockerill is already producing electrolyzers at its plants in Aspach, France, and Seraing, Belgium, for major clients. In India, the company is working with AM Green to supply electrolyzers for what will be the country’s largest green ammonia plant.

With projects around the world, John Cockerill Hydrogen is setting up a global manufacturing network to become a key player in the clean hydrogen energy transition.
