Italian Founders Fund funding news – Venture Capital Firm Italian Founders Fund Secures Inaugural €50 Million Fund

The fund, which has garnered over €50 million completely from private investors, was established in direct reaction to the aspiration of the Italian founder community to establish Italy as one of the top locations in Europe for business establishment.

The investment strategy of Italian Founders Fund is centred on taking the lead in pre-seed and seed rounds of creative firms run by Italian entrepreneurs, whether they are based in Italy or overseas. The fund also has the ability to target foreign startups who are looking to expand into the Italian market.

Lorenzo Franzi, a former partner at Global Founders Capital, is the leader of IFF. Lorenzo has an impressive global professional history that includes experience founding a digital firm and working in investment banking. Following several years overseas, Lorenzo has returned to Italy to work with a collection of the most accomplished Italian founders to launch the fund.

The fund is unique on the peninsula in that it takes a collaborative community approach, and it is managed by Koinos Capital SGR.
