Irish EdTech startup The Corporate Governance Institute, an online learning and certification platform, has raised €3 million to help the company grow its boardroom education services in Europe and beyond.

The funding round was led by BVP Ireland, an investment platform that supports companies at different stages of growth. Other investors include Enterprise Ireland and private individuals.
Ciaran Bollard, CEO, The Corporate Governance Institute, stated: “We’re thrilled to have secured this latest round of investment from one of Ireland’s leading private equity firms. Recognising the proven scale and global footprint the business has achieved in a short space of time. With delegates in over 70 countries, our vision is to empower the next generation of leaders to be a force for good”.
They offer Diplomas, Certificates, and short courses taught by experts and backed by university accreditation.
Their mission is to make director-level training accessible and help new leaders gain long-term strategic advantages.
Recently, the Institute has added courses on ESG, artificial intelligence, and digital governance. It now hosts the world’s largest collection of governance education.

The new funding will help expand their course offerings and grow in international markets. The company plans to use the funds to develop more courses and expand further into international markets.
Their global alumni include organizations like NHS, Google, PWC, BDP, Sumup, and HSBC.
The Institute’s Governance Advisory Council includes board leaders, educators, industry experts, and teaching specialists to ensure their courses include the latest and best ideas in corporate governance.
