SUMMARY
- Huppa raised €1 million in pre-seed funding.
- 2024 by Sharief Mohamed and Gino Arendsz.
- Founders of Sentia, Keylane, TicketSwap, Moneybird, and Revue, along with NL SportTech Ventures.
The funding round was led by a group of experienced entrepreneurs and investors, including the founders of Dutch tech companies Sentia, Keylane, TicketSwap, Moneybird, and Revue. NL SportTech Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm that supports Dutch sports technology startups, also participated in the round.
Huppa was founded in 2024 by Sharief Mohamed and Gino Arendsz. The idea came from their own experiences running a kickboxing gym and a CrossFit box. Both founders were frustrated with the outdated software they used, so they decided to build a better solution for sports and fitness businesses.
Huppa offers a platform for gyms, CrossFit boxes, martial arts studios, yoga and Pilates studios, and other group fitness businesses. It brings important tasks, such as member management, class scheduling, payments, financial reporting, and automation, together in one place.

The platform includes smart scheduling tools that help businesses organise classes across multiple locations. It also offers a dashboard to track key business figures, including revenue, VAT, and membership numbers. Different access levels allow coaches, managers, and administrative staff to use the features they need.
Huppa uses a straightforward pricing model based on the number of active customers a business has. This helps fitness businesses understand their costs and avoid unexpected upgrade fees or extra charges for separate software modules.
