Amsterdam-based grocery app Crisp secures €35 million in funding. With a new capital injection of 35 million euros online supermarket Crisp has the necessary resources to further build on its mission to make better food possible for more people.

Amsterdam-based grocery app Crisp secures €35 million in funding. With a new capital injection of 35 million euros online supermarket Crisp has the necessary resources to further build on its mission to make better food possible for more people.

Crisp is supported in this new round by both existing and new investors, including top Dutch entrepreneurs and family funds. Despite an online grocery sector, which is currently barely growing, Crisp has achieved a turnover growth of 30% with greatly improved margins.

The grocery app was founded in 2018 and was in 2020 already profitable at the level of orders and expected in the home market of the Netherlands to break even in the summer.

About the ambitions for the future, Peeters says: “We are now focusing first on our current one markets, realizing our sustainability ambitions and our operating results. Our our own technology enables us to supply ingredients as well as meals and meal boxes can offer, from one efficient technological platform. I expect the Netherlands to do so
the summer will be profitable. Belgium follows the year after, as we have only been there for a year be operational.”

The investors behind Crisp The impact that Crisp makes on the road to a more tasteful world is highlighted in this round almost 60% supported by, once again, broad participation from existing investors.
