Amsterdam-based grocery app Crisp secures €35 million in funding. With a new capital injection of 35 million euros online supermarket Crisp has the necessary resources to further build on its mission to make better food possible for more people.

Crisp is supported in this new round by both existing and new investors, including top Dutch entrepreneurs and family funds. Despite an online grocery sector, which is currently barely growing, Crisp has achieved a turnover growth of 30% with greatly improved margins.

The grocery app was founded in 2018 and was in 2020 already profitable at the level of orders and expected in the home market of the Netherlands to break even in the summer.

To further increase the impact, their own operation has been discontinued CO2 neutral by the end of this year and Crisp submitted the application for the B Corp last month sustainability label submitted.
