SUMMARY

  • Green Banana, the pan-European BNPL orchestrator, and VR Payment, the payment specialist of the cooperative financial group, now enable merchants to manage various “Buy Now, Pay Later” (BNPL) solutions together with other payment methods in one consolidated dashboard. The aim is to centralize payment data and simplify the management of complex payment portfolios.

BNPL methods are now an integral part of modern checkout strategies. However, providers, regulatory requirements and billing models vary depending on the market and target group. For retailers, this has meant multiple contractual partners, different reporting systems, and fragmented data sets.

Green Banana brings together a large number of European B2C and B2B BNPL providers in over 25 countries in a regulatory-compliant and technically integrated manner on its BNPLX.io platform. Via a new interface to VR Payment's omnichannel payment solution, international BNPL providers are now brought together on a common platform with credit cards, wallets, and other payment methods.

Merchants who use VR Payment's omnichannel payment solution can integrate European BNPL offerings directly into their existing payment portfolio. Transaction data, settlements, and evaluations are bundled together in a central dashboard. This facilitates monitoring, reporting and control – especially for merchants with an international focus.

Green Banana customers benefit equally: in addition to BNPL options, they can connect other payment methods such as Wero, credit card, SEPA direct debit, Apple Pay or Google Pay as well as modern POS solutions for brick-and-mortar retailers via VR Payment.

“As an infrastructure service provider for payment service providers, we create harmonized access to European BNPL providers – embedded in existing payment processes,” says Cihan Duezguen, co-founder and CEO of Green Banana Group. “This orchestration simplifies control, compliance and scaling in commerce.”

“International expansion and different payment habits require flexible payment models,” adds Carlos Gómez-Sáez, CEO of VR Payment. “By connecting to Green Banana, we now enable our customers to seamlessly integrate European BNPL solutions into their familiar payment environment."
