SUMMARY
- London-based AI home care startup Gladys has secured £1.5 million in seed funding, led by Cornerstone VC and supported by Exceptional Ventures, Embryo Ventures, Ufi Ventures, Houghton Street Ventures, and Conduit EIS Impact Fund.
Georgina Robinson, CEO and co-founder, explains, “We all know that Britain’s care system is broken. Re-arranging deck-chairs on a sinking ship will not cut it. People are dying unnecessarily, and brilliant carers are undervalued and underpaid. Gladys is using this investment to supercharge its technology and deliver the service that we would want for our loved ones.”
Gladys is an AI-powered home care platform that connects families with local caregivers, enabling direct matching, scheduling, and communication without intermediaries.
Co-founded by former barrister George Robinson and health-tech entrepreneur Alex Sorisi, the company aims to simplify access to care, improve service quality, and streamline logistics at scale, reducing costs for clients while increasing carers’ earnings.
