Irish Venture Capital Association
Irish Venture Capital Association VenturePulse survey in association with William Fry, VC funding of €494 million into Irish SMEs in Q2 was the second highest on record, up 7% on the same period last year. Apart from seed funding.
SET Ventures
SET Ventures has closed its fourth fund at €200 million to back digital technologies which will facilitate the transition to a carbon-free energy system. Doubling the size of its previous fund, this new capital validates SET’s approach to investing in the evolving energy system that will be dominated by renewables.
Doccla
Doccla, a provider of virtual ward and remote patient monitoring services, secures £35million in series B round funding. Lakestar led the deal, with participation from Elaia, General Catalyst (who led the 2022 Series A), Bertelsmann Investments, and Speedinvest (who co-led the 2021 seed round with Giant Ventures), who were already Doccla investors. Oliver Heimes, a partner at Lakestar, is joining the Doccla board.
Calyxia
Calyxia, an industrial B2B Cleantech innovator, certified B Corp, specializing in advanced and biodegradable microcapsules and microparticles for use in Consumer Goods, Crop Protection and Advanced Materials, announces today that it has raised €31.5 Mn in a Series B funding round.
Carbyon
Dutch direct air capture (DAC) startup Carbyon secures €15.3million in series A round funding. The company has developed an innovative, patented technology to capture CO2 directly from the atmosphere.
Reonic
Reonic, a climate tech SaaS startup focused on enabling the deployment of sustainable energy solutions across Europe, announced that it has raised a €13 million Series A funding round. Led by Northzone, the round also includes participation from existing investors Point Nine and Puzzle Ventures.
Treble
Treble, a business that develops technologies for sound simulation and synthetic audio data production, has raised €11 million in a series A fundraising round. In addition to the European Investment Bank, Omega Venture Partners, St. Gobain & L-Acoustics, the European Investment Bank, and seasoned angel investors, the round was led by KOMPAS VC, an early-stage venture capital firm that specializes in the built environment.
HEPTA Medical
HEPTA Medical , a private medical device company dedicated to providing an efficient, safe, and minimally-invasive thermal ablation therapy for early-stage lung cancer, secures €5.7 million in series A round funding. The investment was led by BPI France with the participation of M&L Healthcare and Clery IG.
Palm
Palm, a financial technology company created to streamline cash management for enterprise treasury teams, secures €5.5 million in seed funding. Upfin, Liquid2, Greens, and Speedinvest led the financing round.
Skarper
Skarper, backed by six-time Olympic cycling champion Sir Chris Hoy, secures €5.3 million in funding bringing total funding to €15.2 million for its patented device that can turn a regular bike into an e-bike and back again with a single click.
