SUMMARY
- Bavaria-based agritech startup Finches has raised €2 million in pre-seed funding.
- The round was led by High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) and Vanagon Ventures.
- Finches is building a platform that helps companies identify agricultural supply risks early.
New investor Bayern Kapital also participated in the round. Existing backer UnternehmerTUM Funding for Innovators, along with a group of strategic industry and technology angel investors, also provided additional funding.
Catharina van Delden, CEO and co-founder of Finches, said, "The drought showed that European companies can no longer rely on securing the volumes and quality of raw materials they need each season. Sourcing raw materials has become a core issue of supply security. While risk signals usually emerge weeks ahead of time, procurement teams rarely see them in time to act. This funding lets us bring Finches to more companies, so they can line up backup suppliers, buy earlier, or reschedule production while there is still time."

Finches is building a platform that helps companies that rely on agricultural raw materials identify possible supply problems at an early stage.

The company focuses on growing risks in agricultural supply chains caused by climate change, extreme weather, and geopolitical crises. These issues can affect the availability and quality of crops.
Finches aims to help companies spot these risks months before they become visible further down the supply chain, giving them more time to prepare and respond.
