Finastra, a global leader in financial services software, has announced a strategic partnership with CargoX, a leading document transfer platform, to transform global trade finance.

The collaboration integrates CargoX’s blockchain-secured electronic trade document (eTD) platform with Finastra’s Trade Innovation solution enabling secure, seamless and scalable electronic document exchange worldwide.
By combining CargoX’s platform which supports over 65 eTD types with Finastra’s Trade Innovation solution, clients can eliminate inefficiencies and adopt digital-at-source trade documentation. The cloud-based platform provides advanced encryption, full audit trails, fraud reduction, faster processing, enhanced document security, and lower operational costs.
Integration is enabled through Finastra’s open API and Trade Innovation Nexus, providing a cloud native solution that supports digital transformation and sustainability objectives. Financial institutions gain a future-ready platform for real-time scalable document exchange while end users enjoy reduced risks of document loss non-delivery or damage.

The partnership combines Finastra’s global reach with CargoX’s blockchain secured platform to accelerate trade finance digitization. It provides clients with secure interoperable tools that support the industry’s shift to electronic documentation.
The collaboration aligns with the Digital Container Shipping Association’s (DCSA) goal of 100% electronic bills of lading by 2030 promoting a more transparent, efficient and sustainable trade finance ecosystem.
