Aymeric Déchin, CEO of Faume said, “The second-hand market is booming, but raising funds doesn’t automatically guarantee success. At Faume, we demonstrate daily that second-hand fashion is a source of resilience for brands, combining sustainability and profitability for all stakeholders. Our solution, already adopted by more than 45 prestigious brands, proves that building a second-hand model is not only feasible and virtuous but also performance-enhancing,”.
Their platform currently accommodates more than 45 brands (including Isabel Marant, Soeur, Lacoste, ba&sh, Victoria Beckham, Ami Paris, Aigle, and Balzac Paris) by handling all technical and logistical constraints for second-hand operations across Europe.
Faume has already supported several French brands’ expansions into Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, and Italy, aligning with their growth priorities. Since its inception, the company has facilitated the sale of over 300,000 second-hand fashion items, with over 40% sold outside of France.
In 2024 alone, it helped avoid over 4,200 tons of CO2 emissions through clothing refurbishment and reuse in the highly carbon-intensive textile sector – according to figures provided to EU-Startups.
With the new €8 million funding, Faume aims to strengthen its commercial and technical teams. The company plans to support 150 brands within the next four years and aims to launch its ‘Dynamic Pricing’ artificial intelligence solution in 2025, enabling brands to offer even more competitive prices compared to traditional marketplaces.
Freja Day, General Manager of Soeur, comments: “We have long advocated for a sustainable vision of fashion with timeless offerings. Soeur Second Hand, created with Faume’s teams, represents a key milestone in our growth. We are very satisfied with the launch and delighted to offer a premium in-store take-back service for our customers. Available today in 14 European countries, this initiative underscores Soeur’s commitment to circular and sustainable fashion.”
Faume believes that premium brands are keenly interested in this circular economy trend and aim to leverage its growth without diluting their brand image or losing control of their distribution.
