Eventix Amsterdam-based Eventix Announces a Merger with France-based Weezevent

What started as a local startup has grown into an international ticketing platform over the past 10 years. The merger supports its goal of offering better tools for event organizers. Weeztix will continue operating under its new name while working with Weezevent to improve its services.

Weeztix and Weezevent will combine their efforts to expand across Europe. They will share a structure but continue developing their products and market strategies separately.

Pierre-Henri Deballon, CEO of Weezevent, says, “By combining Weezevent and Eventix, we’re creating a powerful synergy that will enhance our offerings and provide greater value to event organisers all over Europe. Together, we will continue to redefine the ticketing experience.”

Weeztix will keep working on its open API ticketing technology, while Weezevent will provide services like accreditation, cashless payments, and access control. This way, they can maintain their expertise, offer personalized service, and better meet the needs of different event organizers.

Joost Aanen, CEO of Eventix, adds, “We are proud to become Weeztix and to team up with the Weezevent group, as this creates new opportunities internationally and enhances our offering. Our existing customers will experience no changes—our team, product, and dedication remain the same.”

The new name combines Weeztix’s open API ticketing technology with Weezevent’s event solutions, like accreditation and cashless payments.

This partnership boosts their presence in Europe while keeping their independence. In the next few months, Weeztix plans to roll out a new dashboard, better sales and customer analytics, and new event management tools.
