Europe’s manufacturing landscape faces challenges from geopolitics, talent shortages, sustainability mandates, and supply-chain fragmentation. Rising skill gaps, stricter environmental rules, and high late-stage costs make early, intelligent design more critical than ever.
Encube tackles these issues with a browser-based collaborative platform for aligned, faster product decisions and embedded AI that eliminates common bottlenecks in hardware development—traditionally manual and slow tasks.
Tested in R&D programs with industrial and space-sector partners, the platform has shown up to 50% faster time-to-market, 20–30% lower production costs, and doubled engineering productivity.
Hardware development is a balancing act between how a product looks, functions and what it costs to produce. In Europe, we excel at the first two, but our manufacturing know-how is disappearing. At Sandvik and Aker, I saw firsthand how quickly production costs ballooned and competitive edge eroded, when early design decisions weren’t made with manufacturing in mind. We built Encube to change that, shared Hugo Nordell.
The new funding will drive European expansion, strengthen existing partnerships, and boost investment in hardware-focused AI, positioning Encube to accelerate its role in the ongoing AI-driven transformation of engineering and manufacturing.
