Fortino Capital is a European investment firm that backs fast-growing B2B software companies. It manages multiple growth and venture capital funds, with offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany, and supports ambitious entrepreneurs across Europe.
“At Fortino, we support ambitious software entrepreneurs building the category leaders of tomorrow,” says Alexandra de Klerk, Investment Manager at Fortino Capital.
“Seenons has proven that impact and economics can go hand in hand, and we’re proud to support Joost and the team in taking this mission across Europe. The platform has all the ingredients to facilitate digital waste management, reduce costs, improve circularity, and assure compliance. We look forward to backing a team that combines vision with execution, in an increasingly regulated sector,” adds de Klerk.
Seenons' current investors will continue backing the company’s long-term goal of creating a waste-free world.
This news comes just four months after Seenons acquired CP Recycling Management.
Founded in 2019 by Joost Kamermans, Jorn Eiting van Liempt, and Martin Kayser, Seenons has built a platform focused on keeping residual waste out of landfills, oceans, and incinerators.
The Dutch company supports major clients like Schiphol Airport, FrieslandCampina, and the Dutch Government in adopting circular waste practices.
Seenons has already seen strong growth in the Netherlands and Belgium and is gaining early momentum in Denmark and Switzerland.
“We are thrilled to share this major milestone in our journey,” says Joost Kamermans, CEO of Seenons. “With Fortino as our majority investor, we are well-positioned to expand and build the most effective European platform for circular waste management. Our work with international customers has shown us the value of offering a comprehensive solution across the different countries our clients operate.”
Since launch, Seenons has helped reduce over 30 million kilos of waste. The platform not only cuts down on waste costs but also supports clients in reaching net-zero waste goals and ensuring compliance reporting.
Seenons now operates in several European countries, managing over 150 types of waste streams and working with 200+ partners—including collectors, logistics providers, processors, and reuse specialists—across the entire waste chain.
