DOD Solution Secures €1.8Mn

DOD Solution is an Estonian-Ukrainian DefenceTech company that develops AI-powered autonomy systems for unmanned vehicles. The company has raised €1.8 million ($2.1 million) in a pre-Seed funding round.

SUMMARY

  • DOD Solution raised €1.8 million ($2.1 million) in pre-Seed funding.
  • The Estonian-Ukrainian DefenceTech company was founded in 2023.
  • AURA AI provides AI-powered autonomy for unmanned systems.

The new funding will help DOD Solution speed up the development and expansion of its AURA AI autonomy platform. The platform is designed to help unmanned systems operate with greater autonomy.

The funding round was backed by Angel One Fund, Better Angle, Defence Builder Fund, Network VC, Newfund, UAID Fund, WildField Ventures, and 4C-Next Holding AG.

Canadian drone technology company Draganfly also joined the round as a strategic investor. Its participation is expected to support DOD Solution as it develops and scales its autonomous technology for unmanned systems.

“Autonomy needs to work across different unmanned systems and operational environments, rather than remain a capability tied to a single platform. Our focus now is to make AURA AI easier to integrate, faster to scale and capable of supporting increasingly demanding onboard applications. This round gives us the resources and the right partners to accelerate that transition,” says Roman Hapachylo, CEO of DOD Solution.

Founded in 2023, DOD Solution develops onboard computers and autonomous systems for unmanned platforms. The company works with manufacturers to add AI-powered capabilities to defence systems.

Its main product is AURA AI, an onboard autonomy platform designed for unmanned systems. It combines the company’s AURA SBC onboard computer with AURA OS, its autonomy software.

AURA AI helps unmanned platforms perform key tasks such as navigation, sensing, target recognition, and tracking. This allows these systems to operate with less human control.

The platform is also designed to work in difficult conditions where GPS signals or communication links are weak, disrupted, or unavailable. It can support terminal guidance and other autonomous functions in these situations.
