According to Bloomberg, the company is currently in talks to raise $100M. While its technology has broad potential, cofounder Dr. Chad Edwards told Sifted their initial focus is on climate tech, specifically materials for carbon capture.

"It’s where we believe society should be focusing right now," Edwards said.

CuspAI recently partnered with Finnish chemicals firm Kemira Oyj on a project aimed at removing "forever chemicals" from water.
