UK-based Contollo Group Secures an Investment from NorthEdge. The amount of the deal was not disclosed. With the money, the company plans to implement a buy and build strategy centered on the UK, which will help it meet the demand for tech-enabled smart buildings.
Contollo is a recently established building consultant business headed by CEO Ruth Percival and Executive Chair Oliver Dennis. The company provides consulting services in cost management, project management, and MEP design and planning, with a focus on helping clients realize their Net Zero goals.

Following the investment's completion, Contollo acquired Abacus, a cost management consultancy with headquarters in Manchester.

Abacus is an independent cost management consultant that was founded in 2007 by Ellis Goodfellow and Mike Perry. It provides the construction industry with technical services such as fund monitoring, technical assurance, and due diligence in addition to quantity surveying and project management.

The company has worked with significant private developers, operators, funders, and education providers. Its experience spans a wide range of industries, including sport and leisure, industrial & logistics, multi-room residential accommodation (student, BTR, & hotels), and commercial projects.
