Italian Startup Complaion Raises €13.5 Mn to Simplify SME Compliance

The funding round was led by Eurazeo and Founders Fund Italia. Other investors included Shapers, 2100 Ventures, Kfund, Sella Direct Ventures, and Enzo Ventures.

Complaion will use the new funding to grow its team, improve its technology, and expand into international markets. Vento, Ithaca, Eden Ventures, and Vesper also participated in the round.

Tarricone said Complaion sees compliance not as a barrier to growth, but as a way for businesses to access new opportunities. "In an increasingly digital sector, human expertise must remain central - especially in a complex market such as compliance. We will continue expanding our offerings to serve an ever-growing number of SMEs in Europe and make compliance easier, effortless and reliable. Our mission is to be the point of reference for all compliance needs based on expertise, technology, trust and human connection."

Complaion was founded in 2024 by Edoardo Tarricone (CEO), Marco Cortinovis (COO), and Alessandro Vaccarino (CTO). The company helps small and medium-sized businesses make compliance easier by combining its own technology with support from certified auditors and compliance experts.

Complaion’s platform can automate up to 80% of manual compliance tasks. This helps businesses spend less time handling paperwork and other repetitive processes related to certifications and regulatory requirements.

The company says its technology can reduce certification time by up to five times. Complaion works with businesses across several industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, construction, logistics, professional services, agri-food, IT, and software.
