Clee Medical Raises Seed Funding to Advance Real-Time Brain Imaging

The round was led by High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), with participation from Zürcher Kantonalbank (ZKB), Kickfund, FONGIT, and Venture Kick, alongside continued backing from Wyss Geneva.

Neurosurgery often requires millimeter level precision to navigate delicate brain structures. However changes in brain anatomy during surgery and limited real time visibility can make accurate targeting difficult. Clee Medical is developing minimally invasive neurotechnology designed to improve visualization and help surgeons operate with greater accuracy and confidence.

Founded in October 2024 by Matt Lapinski and Abed Hammoud the company’s flagship Neuro Access platform integrates ultra high resolution real time intraoperative Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) imaging with advanced navigation capabilities.

The system is designed to deliver real-time visualization within the brain, enabling surgeons to navigate complex anatomy with greater confidence and access deep brain targets more safely for targeted neurotherapies.

Built on years of translational research, the platform is being advanced for applications in functional neurosurgery and neuro-oncology.

With the new funding, Clee Medical will expand its development and clinical programs, prepare for its first-in-human clinical study, and accelerate clinical validation of the Neuro Access platform.

The company’s long-term vision is to equip neurosurgeons with enhanced real-time insight, improving safety, efficiency, and patient outcomes in complex brain procedures.
