Chift Raises €10.5 Mn Series A to Expand Financial Connectivity for European Software

Brussels-based startup Chift has raised €10.5 million in Series A funding. The company provides a financial connectivity platform that helps European software companies connect their products with the financial tools used by their customers.

SUMMARY

  • Chift has raised €10.5 million in Series A funding.
  • The round was led by BlackFin Capital Partners, with existing investors also participating.
  • Founded in 2022, Chift helps software companies connect with 120+ financial systems through one API.

The funding round was led by BlackFin Capital Partners, a European fintech investor that manages more than €4 billion in assets.

Existing investors Entourage, Shapers, Seeder Fund, and Wallonie Entreprendre also participated in the Series A round.

“AI and e-invoicing are rebuilding the entire financial software market, and businesses run on more tools than ever. Interoperability is becoming the defining problem of European SMB finance. Its fragmentation makes that harder to build than anywhere, as systems are split across 27 countries. That is exactly why we build the infrastructure that connects it all,” said Gauthier Henroz, CEO and co-founder of Chift.

“Financial data connectivity is genuinely hard to build particularly in Europe, where data sits across dozens of local systems that were never designed to talk to each other. That difficulty is what makes Chift’s position valuable. And AI raises the stakes further: agents are only as good as the data they can access,” said Pauline Brunel, Investment Director, BlackFin Capital Partners.

Chift was founded in 2022 in Brussels by Gauthier Henroz, Henry Hertoghe and Matthieu Hertoghe. The company helps software businesses connect their products with more than 120 financial systems.

These systems cover areas such as accounting, invoicing, point-of-sale, e-commerce, payments, and property management. Chift provides a single API allowing software companies to connect to many financial tools without building separate integrations for each one.

For example, an invoicing platform can use Chift to send customer invoices to 40 different accounting systems through one connection. This saves companies the time and effort of creating and maintaining each integration separately.
