AI Finance Startup Causa Prima Raises $20 Mn to Streamline Business Payments

The funding round was led by Base10 Partners, with participation from QED Investors and FJ Labs. Existing investors Creandum, Kfund and Borusan Ventures also joined the round.

"The biggest inefficiency in corporate finance is no longer inside the company. It is between companies. That is where the next generation of financial infrastructure will be built, "said Maex Ament, co-founder and CEO of Causa Prima.

Causa Prima was founded by Maex Ament (CEO), Henrik Gebbing and Philip Stanislaus. The company is building a platform to help businesses automate financial tasks and manage transactions more easily.

Its platform focuses on automating processes between companies, including invoice approvals, resolving payment disputes and processing payments. These tasks are often handled manually, which can take time and create extra work for finance teams.

Despite the growing use of financial software, many businesses still struggle to manage payments on time. A study by Atradius found that nearly half of credit-based B2B sales in the US are overdue, showing the need for better tools to manage payments between companies.

Causa Prima will use the new funding to expand its business in the US and further improve its autonomous finance platform.
