Cabify partnership news – Spain-based Cabify partners with Polestar

Cabify and Polestar have partnered to decarbonise the PHV transportation sector in Barcelona and madrid. Because of the partnership between the two businesses, 100 Polestar automobiles—more precisely, the Polestar 2 Long Range Single Motor Plus model—will be accessible to Cabify users in these cities, with 50 of them being Polestar locations.

Pedro Parra, Commercial Director of Polestar Spain, stated that "these kinds of agreements are very important for our brand as they help us to give visibility to our products as well as contribute to our main objective which is to promote and accelerate the sift to 100% electric mobility. We are very happy that Cabify's customers can appreciate the quality of our Polestar 2." He added that the Polestar 2 vehicle was chosen for its quality, comfort, soundproofing and livability."
Polestar 2 automobiles have an urban driving range of up to 655 km and are entirely electric and emission-free. They were chosen based on their excellent qualities, soundproofing, habitability, and comfort for both drivers and passengers. Vecttor, a division of the Cabify group, will run them in both Barcelona and Madrid. They will prevent the release of 800 tonnes of CO2 and save over 500,000 litres of fuel.
The pre-existing fast-recharging infrastructure in both cities is a crucial component. In Barcelona's example, the operation will only use renewable energy and be implemented through public charging, made possible by an arrangement with many companies. The Barcelona Metropolitan Area, which has a public access charging network spread out across the city, will also be a reliance for the corporation.

Following the arrival of these Polestar 2 vehicles, 82.5% of the Barcelona fleet linked to Cabify now possesses an Eco or Zero label—a statistic 14 times more than the Barcelona fleet's 6% environmental label count. Every vehicle on the Vecttor is either Eco or Zero.
As per the goals outlined in the company's Sustainable Business Strategy, by 2025, all trips made through the app will take place in decarbonised vehicles in the city. Cabify uses the platform to offset all of the emissions from trips taken by its private customers and businesses, up until the point where all trips are taken in 100% decarbonised vehicles.
