The software fits easily into existing hospital systems, helping doctors spot small changes in the brain more quickly and accurately.
The round was led by new strategic investor Dahlgren Capital, with ongoing support from existing investor Investo Capital.
This funding is a big step for Brainreader as it grows its business, especially in the US, and works on adding new features and medical uses to its platform.
“This investment allows us to expand faster and reach more clinics worldwide,” says Mads Fiig, CEO of Brainreader.
“Brainreader is building a category-defining solution in AI-enabled brain diagnostics,” says Peter Dahlgren, CEO of Dahlgren Capital.
Brainreader is in a strong position to grow. In the US, new billing codes for brain scan analysis make it easier for doctors to get paid for using the tool. In the EU, updated medical device rules allow wider use of AI imaging tools like Neuroreader across all member countries.
“We see strong tailwinds for AI in neuroimaging,” adds Thor Birkmand, Chairman of Brainreader and partner at Investo Capital.
“With this funding and the addition of Dahlgren Capital as an active owner, Brainreader is well-equipped to lead this transformation.”
