Black Forest Labs announced today that it has raised a $300 million Series B round, securing a post-money valuation of $3.25 billion.

Founded in 2023 the company aims to build frontier pixel-generation models capable of creating visuals beyond what cameras can capture. Its technology is designed to interpret user intent rather than simply follow prompts, enabling everyone from global enterprises to independent artists to turn imagination into high-fidelity visuals.

The company is strengthening partnerships with existing backers including a16z, NVIDIA, Northzone, Creandum, Earlybird VC, BroadLight Capital, and General Catalyst. It is also welcoming new co-lead investors Salesforce Ventures and Anjney Midha (AMP), joined by Temasek, Bain Capital Ventures, Air Street Capital, Visionaries Club, Canva, and Figma Ventures.

Millions of users are already creating with the company’s FLUX models. Its open-source releases rank among the most widely used image models on Hugging Face, while its enterprise tools are deployed across platforms such as Fal.ai, Replicate, and TogetherAI.

Industry leaders including Adobe, Canva, Meta, and Microsoft are building new creative experiences on top of Black Forest Labs’ technology. Still, the company says it is only just getting started.

Looking ahead, Black Forest Labs aims to develop unified models that combine visual perception, generation, memory, and reasoning pushing toward true visual intelligence.
