Berlin TravelTech Startup Swifty Acquired By Revolut To Boost AI-powered Travel And Lifestyle Offerings

The deal brings Swifty’s AI technology and co-founders to Revolut to enhance its loyalty and lifestyle offerings for a global audience.

Revolut’s acquisition of Swifty reflects a growing 2025 trend in Europe where travel, mobility, and lifestyle startups increasingly adopt AI to merge finance and travel experiences. Similar moves include Spain’s Exoticca (€25M for AI trip planning), WeTravel (€78M for workflow automation), Denmark’s Tryp.com (€3.1M AI travel engine), France’s Kolet (€8.6M global travel services) and Germany’s Circula (€15M AI expense management). These investments highlight the convergence of FinTech and TravelTech, with Revolut leading by integrating AI-powered travel and lifestyle offerings.

Founded in 2023 and incubated at Lufthansa Innovation Hub, Swifty is an AI assistant that automates business travel handling planning, booking, payment, and invoicing allowing trips to be booked in just five minutes via chat.

The acquisition strengthens Revolut’s AI financial assistant, combining smart financial guidance with seamless travel and lifestyle automation.

Swifty was also a finalist in the 2023 FutureTravel Pitch Competition, which showcased ten promising early-stage travel startups competing for the €56k prize package and the title of FutureTravel Startup of the Year.
