Belgian AI Startup Tekst Raises €11.5M Funding In Series A Led by Elephant

Founded by CEO Wouter Janssen and CTO Tiebe Parmentier, the company is focused on solving a major challenge in enterprise AI: turning business data into meaningful context for decision-making.

Tekst argues that while companies are investing heavily in AI most systems struggle because they lack real operational context. The platform addresses this gap by understanding end-to-end business processes rather than isolated tasks.

Instead of optimising individual steps, Tekst targets entire workflows such as quotes, orders, claims, and customer service areas where much of enterprise work still relies on unstructured, undocumented processes.

The company aims to help businesses unlock the full value of AI by making complex back-office operations more structured, contextual, and automatable at scale.

Tekst automatically reconstructs business processes by analysing the digital trail employees already create, removing the need for long consulting projects. Instead of manual interviews and analysis, its system identifies how messages trigger actions across workflows.

The platform focuses on core enterprise operations such as quotes, orders, and customer service, where employees often still rely on emails, PDFs and manual reviews. It integrates with existing systems like SAP, Salesforce and Microsoft tools to eliminate repetitive work and streamline operations.

Customers include Daikin Europe N.V., Colruyt Group, Securex, and Becton Dickinson. The investment will support product development and international expansion. Tekst currently has 35 employees and plans to double its headcount by the end of the year, focusing on engineering and go-to-market hiring.

According to Wouter Janssen, CEO and co-founder of Tekst, the processes that actually run a business aren't written down anywhere.

“They live in emails, in PDFs, in people's heads. Our process intelligence technology surfaces all of it. Without that, an AI agent is just an expensive assistant or a glorified chatbot.
