Bees & Bears Secures €5M To Expand Green Finance Platform

The funding builds on a €500 million financing framework agreed in January with a European bank, enabling the company to support roughly 25,000 solar, heat pump, and battery storage installations over the next two years.

Founded in Berlin in 2023 by Marius Schondelmaier and Jakob von Egidy, Bees & Bears offers embedded-finance solutions for clean-energy technologies. Its platform lets installers provide customers with instalment plans for solar panels, heat pumps, and battery storage during consultations.

With 40% of German households unable to afford climate technologies without financing, the platform fills a critical gap for local installers. Real-time credit checks streamline approvals removing banks and paperwork from the process.

Installers submit quotes online, and customers can access instant instalment financing, accelerating project delivery, expanding customer reach, and driving revenue growth while making clean energy accessible without upfront costs.

The seed funding will fuel rapid growth, enabling expansion into commercial and industrial sectors, entry into neighboring European markets, and a tripling of the team to solidify Bees & Bears’ market presence.
