Atira Raises $17.5 Mn to Bring AI Automation to Industrial Sales

Munich-based AI company Atira has raised $15 million in seed funding. The company will use the new money to grow its platform, which helps automate sales engineering work for industrial businesses.

SUMMARY

  • Atira has raised $15 million in seed funding led by Accel.
  • It will use the funding to expand its team, improve its product, and enter international markets.
  • Atira also plans to add tools for pricing, after-sales, and supplier management.

The funding round was led by Accel, with investment from UVC, Fortino, Booom, and several industry experts. These include Ann-Kristin Achleitner, Marc Bitzer, Markus Flik, and Celonis co-founder and co-CEO Bastian Nominacher.

Atira also revealed that it had previously raised $2.5 million in pre-seed funding. The company had not announced this earlier.

"Sales engineering is one of the largest workflows in manufacturing that software has never truly automated. Today, critical commercial expertise is scattered across people, documents and disconnected systems. Atira is changing that by helping industrials turn expertise into a scalable capability and bringing AI into one of the most important processes in industrial organizations, "said Florian Diegruber, CEO and co-founder of Atira.

Atira will use the new funding to grow its sales and marketing team, improve its product faster, and expand into international markets.

The company also plans to add more features for other business tasks. These will include pricing intelligence, after-sales services, and managing relationships with suppliers.

Atira was founded in Munich in November 2024 by Florian Diegruber and August DuMont Schütte. The company is building an AI platform for industrial sales engineering.

Atira mainly focuses on companies that sell complex products made to meet specific customer needs. Its technology is designed to make the sales engineering process faster and easier.

Preparing a response to a customer request for quotation (RFQ) can take weeks or even months. Sales engineers, technical experts, legal teams, and commercial teams often need to review large amounts of information and create customized technical and business documents.

Atira estimates that industrial sales engineering costs companies more than $128 billion in labor each year worldwide. Much of this work is still done manually, with knowledge spread across different teams and software systems.
