Maurice & Nora, an Antwerp-based social-impact startup, has raised €1 million in funding to accelerate growth and expand its platform for non-medical in-home assistance.

The round includes backing from investors such as Conny Vandendriessche (Coformaco), Dries Buytaert, 100IN, Annemie Colruyt & Stef Goossens, Jan Delaere, Lorenz Bogaert, Toon Coppens, Piet Maes, Roeland Delrue, and the Shaping Impact Si3 Fund.
The company connects seniors and families with students to provide flexible, non-medical support for everyday needs such as companionship, grocery shopping, transport, childcare and light household tasks.
Its AI-powered platform matches supply and demand more efficiently through a proprietary digital system.
Since launch, Maurice & Nora has screened over 3,000 students across Flanders and Brussels, onboarded more than 2,000 families and seniors, and secured over 10 B2B clients offering the service as an employee benefit.

Maurice & Nora operates a dual model, serving both private individuals and businesses that offer its services as an employee benefit.
Alongside supporting families and seniors, the platform also creates flexible, socially meaningful job opportunities for students, allowing them to earn income while contributing to their local communities.
The newly raised capital will be used to accelerate commercial expansion, with increased investment in sales, marketing, and partnerships, as well as to strengthen the team and further enhance its technology, including AI-based matching, voice capabilities and enterprise-grade scalability.
Looking ahead, Maurice & Nora plans to expand its workforce, scale operations, and pursue long-term growth across multiple European markets.
